Wow, quite a long day where both the Traveling Timecard and I feel blown away. So tomorrow I will be talking with two of the most talented video photojournalists in the Northwest – Kurt Austin and Colin Mulvany. What an absolute honor. I never would have imagined me returning to Portland, where KATU gave me a shot, to be talking about multimedia. Two words… Blown Away.

Dark McMenamins ale is a great way to end a day that began at — oh 3 a.m. NPPA 11 director Russ Kendal is documenting me documenting the document in the foreground. The timecard learns a dark ale is a good thing.

This is Chris at the coffee roasting company he works for. You can find his in most stores in the Northwest, including Nordstroms and Target. Good stuff too. He’s also shepherding the Traveling Timecard on its travels (his left hand).

My first time visiting my cousin’s home in stumptown. They have been doing a lot of work on it – and I am really glad to be able to visit a bit with my eldest cousin while here for the Flying Short Course.
